In the Oil & Gas Field the most critical issue are shutdowns due to the damage of submarine cables connecting the PTFs. In this case, the time of intervention is of vital importance.

Normally, it takes 3-4 months to even start any reparation (due to preparation of: tender, contract awarding, marine spread and equipment mobilization, joint availability, Engineering & Repair Manual, H2S, etc.)..

For this reason, we offer and recommend our customers the “call-off contract” solution which must include a quote (which includes…) “Health Check” Online monitoring campaign for all cables of the Field or at least for strategic ones. This specific test will be performed by our D-Temp equipment which features monitoring temperature on cables in working conditions.

This process should be repeated every 3– 4 years in order to periodically compare the data and keep the cable situation under control.

By doing so, it’s possible to prevent and program every repair operation instead of just receiving the damage.

The same thing goes for the preparation of the basic “Engineering & Repair Manual”, which reduces intervention times by 50%.
